PEI's principals and its team of independent consultants bring a wealth of business experience to contemporary business-ethics issues. Many of these professionals have 30 or more years in responsible executive positions dealing with the tough issues, particularly those that result from an ever-changing business environment. They understand the obligation they assume when they agree to help corporations through difficult times, especially when those corporations are under compliance agreements with one or another government oversight agency. They prefer preventive maintenance work with corporations not already in difficulty, but welcome any challenge in support of business-ethics and corporate-development goals. Our education-and-training professionals are delighted to work with businesses seeing value in ethics-based organization development, climate surveys and education/training as ways to identify issues before they become problematic. Background
PEI engages extensively in ethics-based organization development focusing on leadership, management, communications and team building. PEI welcomes clients not under formal compliance agreements, although compliance and postcompliance work remains a substantial part of PEI's business. PEI got its start in 1994 when its first client (knowing that PEI principals had previously worked with students in ethics education and training) asked for help in setting up similar education/training for employees as part of its compliance agreement with the federal government. Since 1994 this important part of PEI's business grew from referrals by corporate counsel to other corporations in like need. PEI has successfully moved each client through the ethics-compliance process, meeting all milestones with clients, counsel, and government oversight agencies. Given this success rate, many clients retain PEI's services beyond compliance agreement periods because they see continuing value in organization development that not only builds trust, effective communications, and enhanced teamwork so important to the corporate bottom line, but also because such education/training is preventive maintenance that gives greater assurance of ethical and legal compliance by all employees.
PEI has worked with corporations in aerospace, agribusiness, automotive and health care industries. All materials, including video support, are tailored to specific issues facing the client now as well as long-term needs for organizational growth and change. Our business has grown and flourished using the compliance agreement model, but PEI plans to continue expanding its corporate business base by offering new services to existing clients and by aggressively seeking new clients that value ethics-based organization development and preventive maintenance.
PEI's Business Growth Objective
Our business-expansion objectives are to offer new services to existing clients and to seek aggressively new clients that value ethics-based organization development and preventive maintenance. PEI's strategy for 1999-2000 is to meet these business-growth objectives with the right mix of trained independent consultants--mature, seasoned business professionals with the will and know-how to deliver our corporate clients the desired results. Most are PhDs, all are experts in their fields, many are widely published either in books or professional journals, and several have strong international-business backgrounds as well. All are deeply committed to practicing the principles of ethics PEI advances.
