Background
PEI has joined with Health Care Compliance, LLC (HCC) in response to growing demand in healthcare industry compliance programs for preventative law as an important part of business and professional ethics education and training.

Matthew Feigenbaum, J.D., is President of HCC. He brings extensive practical experience as a defense litigator for healthcare clients. Matt and his HCC associates deliver preventative law presentations linked to PEI education and training sessions that give practical advice on ways to keep on the right side of the law, avoiding whenever possible costly litigation and penalties.

Compliance with legal requirements depends on genuine and sustained commitmentto good business and professional ethics. PEI couples an understanding of legal requirements elaborated by HCC with ethical principles applied to responsibility, authority, and accountability issues.

PEI and HCC education and training rely on interaction by presenters with audiences, which has proven to be the most effective style both for passing on important information and for generating and reinforcing commitment to doing the right thing. As with other groups, interactive lecture is combined with small and large group discussions of short video scenarios on healthcare-related issues and underlying ethical principles and legal requirements.
